I fixed the problem by using the GM installer, although now that I installed I cannot boot without the -f parameter. 10.9.1 installer and 10.9.2 installer wouldn't boot. Any idea why this may be? I've also updated to 10.9.2 since installing.

I have my DSDT, and I'm following a guide from this guy who has successfully hacked with the same motherboard that I have. The only problem is that I cannot for the life of me get my motherboard to boot from my installation disk! What gives? Is there something special I have to do to make this work?
