    I actually was doing an upgrade over top of 10.7.4 in hopes of keeping everything. I am not able to get it past the kp after it restarts in order to run the probook installer.

    Well I have tried some more but still no luck. I am posting a screenshot of the KP to see if anyone might be able to take a look and give me some insight into what to do.

    its right afterI close the screen. I actually got it to work twice with the no sleep app but it went right back to going to sleep after that. turning it on and immediately shutting the lid definitely doesnt work for me.

    Were you able to get the 4530 to stay awake? I have a keyboard/mouse and external monitor hooked up. I have tried no sleep and caffeine, but with both the mac goes to sleep and I have to power it down and back up to get it to work again. Any ideas or other solutions?
