Okay, so now I feel stupid - the rollback option is still there in the new Multibeast. It worked after I checked the 10.9.5 option.

Hi All, sorry to revive an older post, but I had to re-install Yosemite and didn't see this option with the new Multibeast as we are now at 10.10.x. What can I do to solve the "stuck at grey apple logo screen with progress bar" that never starts error?

I solved this with the help of another user's suggestion: check 10.9.5 AppleACPIPlatform Rollback in Multibeast 7.0 and it worked for me!

I have the same issue with a Gigabyte Z68xp-ud3, I did what another user suggested and fire up iTunes and play a song. Then, go to System preferences -> sound and you should see an option to choose internal speakers or Line Out or what have you. Good luck!

yes, when i click HDD, i get the mac logo and progress bar that never starts or finishes. when i click Yosemite install, I get that. So how would i launch the chimera update from the osx install / terminal? also would u know the path to the system files "extra" folder? all i saw was etc tmp...

when I boot using USB it goes to the OSX install, not really finder - how would I then run the chimera install? (Sorry if these are noob questions - i'm not a pro with terminal, but I can do basic navigation) All i found was etc, tmp, and var ; where would anything useful be ? hahaha

After step #2, I get the mac logo with a progress bar that never goes beyond 0% - what did I do wrong? I can't boot into yosemite and when i use F12 to boot from my HDD, i get the missing mach_kernel thingy.
