    Success - HP Spectre X360

Thank you very much. I have actually solved that problem with a CMOS reset. After Rehabman mentioned it might be a hardware issue, I went on a searched online. I find out a lot of other people who owns the same laptop complaining about the same flickering issue!! Well, I guess it is not a...

I don't think it is a hardware problem because the display works fine sometimes and sometimes the issue appears. If it was hardware, well it should permanent. Also, when I use a second monitor, I never see this problem in the second monitor. So, I assume it has nothing to do with the graphics...

    Success - HP Spectre X360

Hello. I managed to get the laptop to run again. And I did an EC reset. Unfortunately, that did not solve the issue. If the laptop is shutdown for a period of time (30 minutes for example) then I turn it on, it works fine. Then after a period of usage, the screen starts flickering again (both...

Hi. I have followed the guide. Unfortunately, this brought my laptop to a dead point. Now the laptop won't boot at all. I turn in on, I see the power light, then the caps button start blinking 5 slow blinks, followed by 3 quick ones. I checked on the HP website and found this. The EC timed...

No, I am sure I didn't. However, the electricity goes off sometimes in my city. But the laptop has 100% battery almost always, so it does not shutdown.

Hi. I am sorry for the late reply. I had to finish some work, and I decided alright let's put this mac problem aside for a moment and use windows to finish the job (I triple boot Mojave, Windows 10, and Ubuntu). I turned on my laptop, started using my windows normally. After a few hours...

Ah I see. Actually, I used that guide to install Mojave in the first place (so I used the compatible config.plist from there). Even now, Mojave boots. it gets to the login page, and I can login (using my second monitor). The only issue is with the glitching (starts with the boot), I dunno what...

Sorry, but honestly I am not able to figure out what you mean exactly. I couldn't find something related to "inject IGPU properties". Would you please clarify?

Thank you very much. I followed your suggestions, tried both MacBookPro14,1 and MacBookPro11,1, added the -cdfon flag, updated Whatevergreen.kext, and removed AppleBacklightInjector (followed the guide, backlight works fine). Unfortunately, the problem is not solved. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Apologize, I forgot that. Attached now. Just one thing, I have changed my smbios to iMac18,1 because I read it solved the problem for someone. It doesn't solve it for me though.

Hi, Would you please shed some light on this weird problem? So, I have installed Mojave on my laptop and was working fine. Then, suddenly my display started flickering to the point where I can't use it at all. Fortunately, I have a second screen which works fine using HDMI. This problem is not...

You are right! It is not in the kextcache log file. However, when I checked, I found it in Clover/Kexts/Others!! And I always use Kext Utility to repair permissions and update the cache. I thought it is doing this automatically. So my questions are, do I have to put AppleALC in L/E? And do I...

Thank you for the hint. I found out that my codec is ALC295 and the corresponding layout-id values are: 1,3,13,14,15,28. I had AppleALC (1.2.7 first time and 1.3.2 second time) in the kexts folder in Clover (tried also in L/E). I had also AppleHDA 282.10 (first time) and AppleHDA 280.12 (second...

Sorry about that. I have already solved the battery icon issue. For the wifi, I think my card is not supported, isn't it? However, I dunno how to deal with the Audio issue. I installed the kext and changed the value of Audio in devices to empty, 0, 2, and 3 in config.plist but none of these...

[Guide] How to patch DSDT for working battery status

Hi RehabMan, Thank you for the guide. So, I tried to follow your guide. First, I found the "EmbeddedControl" section: OperationRegion (ERAM, EmbeddedControl, Zero, 0xFF) Field (ERAM, ByteAcc, Lock, Preserve) { // Found few 16 bits variables and one 256 in...
