    No picture on attached monitor

I haven't been able to test the HDMI-DVI adapter yet in any other setup yet but will do sometimes. However, general consensus seems to be that high resolution graphics is not output via HDMI. While this would be possible (v1.4) it is not implemented. One would need dual-channel DVI (DVI-D)...

    No picture on attached monitor

Yep, tried that, a bit inconclusive as on the Probook Win7 it detects the monitor over HDMI correctly but still no picture even after installing new drivers. I could switch between integrated and discrete graphics, detect the monitor but still no picture.

    No picture on attached monitor

I know FullHD resolution can be output via HDMI - I had it myself on the TV. The problem is that my (big) desktop monitor only switches the screen on when it is getting 2560x1600 signal through the DVI-D port. Works well though with a Win7 desktop but I wanted to use the Probook with it. I...

While concept is the same actual setup is slightly different here. Upgraded to 8GB RAM + 128 GB SSD in main bay with original HDD put in the expansion bay. Deleted unnecessary partitions on original HDD then formatted to exFAT so OsX can see it for storage (500GB). Installed OsX to SSD, made it...

Do I need a Mac in order to install lion 10.7.3 on my HP 453

No, you do not have to have a Mac to install Lion on the Probook. Things you'll need: VMware for Windows, an OsX install DVD, the Lion disk, USB drive and a few utilities. Took some time to figure out but had no choice - no Macs around.

Guide for Installing Lion on the 4530s Version 3

Thanks blueking for the detailed guide. My first ever Hackintosh is up and running! :headbang: I can confirm that installation is a major pain without access to a Mac as it was the case for me. I trawled the net for a day for information and was almost successful with another method to...
