my ext hdd failed a few months ago so I took it apart and hooked it in via SATA. Worked like a charm, I was having some issues when I wanted to use this as a secondary disk with OS X, I can't copy and paste files and I edited permissions on who can read and write, no go I even tried a cmd line...

awesome yeah my Dell 2007FP started showing yellow tape marks on 2 corners of the panel, was thinking to use this CRT if it kept interfering.

This CRT of mine only has a VGA cable routed from the back. I hear OS X doesn't play nice with VGA. I'm wanting to know if a regular DVI to VGA adapter will do the trick.

I just purchased a 64GB M4 off newegg this morning. I did some reading on the reviews via anandtech and they keep mentioning TRIM on Windows 7. When I finish installing Lion will I need to do anything special to get maximum performance from this SSD?

That's really good news, Ivy Bridge won't make that much of a difference in terms of speed so I thought "Why risk compatibility?" I actually bought my Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 (with PCI-E 3.0) mobo a few days ago. I need to wait about 3 weeks to get the rest of my parts (CPU,SSD,Optical Drive)...
