I'm already using the GT 710 with the X58 and High Sierra, though with the NVIDIA Web drivers. I plan on trying with the Mojave, however, the system is one I've set up for my parents so I'll have to wait till they go on holidays before messing with it :p New web drivers may be out by then so it...
I have an old BIOS based motherboard and cannot enable or disable CSM since it's not UEFI.
When I got clover from a USB I get full resolution and it says that the firmware is Clover but when I boot off SSD (via SATA) I get TianoCore firmware (with a lower UEFI revision).
Does anyone know is...
I have noticed however that performance via the DP output of the GTX970 suffers when mirrored to the HDMI output of the GT710. Not sure why that's normal or not.
I have hooked up a display to the card (it's simply the HDMI input on the same monitor). I can't tell whether it's accelerated for sure but it seems to be. No slowness or video artefacts. Everything is smooth.
Thanks for the info.
I don't really care about video acceleration as all I need the HDMI output to do is audio output. It's the ONLY way I can get multichannel digital audio out of the software that I use.
I've not found anything that covers the problem I am having in the HDMI Audio thread and...
At least as in my case it's the 2nd NVIDIA card in your system (my 1st is a GTX970). The only reason I bought it was to get a 2nd HDMI output for audio to my receiver :/
P.S. I'm using NVIDIA web drivers.
P.P.S For what it's worth it works fine under Windows 10.
Of course it doesn't work under OSX!
I booted into Win10 and set everything up and it works perfectly. Rebooted back into OSX and still no audio outputs on the 2nd Nvidia card are even acknowledged.
P.S. I tried reinstalling the Nvidia web drivers but it didn't help. I suspect that the GT710...
Thanks. I saw that thread but wasn't quite sure if it indicated full support in the drivers or not.
I actually already use the DP port for a direct connection to the monitor. The problem I've run into is that if I have the video going to the monitor through the AV receiver (which is how I get...
Hi,
I plan on getting a GT710 as a secondary video card (currently using a GTX970) because I need an additional HDMI output for audio. Do the Nvidia Web drivers support this card? If so do they support multiple cards in this fashion?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Michal
Is it possible to have the Nvidia secondary while utilizing it as if it's the first? Ie primary monitor connected to the Nvidia and Clover and UEFI showing up via the Nvidia output?
Hi,
Is there some sort of guide on how to setup integrated HD4600 as the secondary video card? Is this even possible?
Up until now I have had the integrated graphics disabled, but I now have need for an additional output so I have enabled it on my ASUS Z97Pro with an Nvidia GTX970 remaining as...
I just tried again.. I logged out of iCloud and made sure that the Continuity Activation Tool was happy with my system.. After a reboot I checked the capabilities and got this:
cat /var/log/system.log | grep -i handoff

I've recently completed legacy Unibeast install of El Capitan. I have an EFI partition and a Recovery partition..
Is there any way to transfer this in its entirety to a larger drive? Or is the only solution to start from scratch?
I think CarbonCopyCloner, SuperDuper or even Time Machine...
What is the technical reason for this? I thought Clover could access the EFI partition even when booted from legacy MBR (sort of the point isn't it?).
Just looking for a way to maintain compatibility with UniBeast if at all possible.
EDIT: Today I performed a UniBeast Legacy install and...
Somehow, through all my messing around Handoff now works, however, AirDrop has stopped working :/
It's like I can't win. Haven't found any useful information about diagnosing AirDrop problems..
Anyone know if having a 2.4Ghz/5Ghz Wifi network with both having the same SSID might cause...
Also, I don't know if it's of any relevance but I always get this from the Continuity Activation Tool diagnostics:
Verifying ContinuitySupport... Print: Entry, ":Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61:ContinuitySupport", Does Not Exist
NOT OK. Unknown state. Your Mac might not be compatible.
And...
I'm still nowhere with this problem.
I've done everything except for the more advanced USB stuff which I simply don't understand well enough to tweak. I'm normally a very technical person but somehow this seems more difficult than learning a programming language (DSDT's are not something I am...
I already tried signing off and back in on the iPhone and it had no effect.
Here's what the Continuity Activation Tool reports:
--- Hardware/OS checks ---
Verifying Continuity status... OK. OS X reports Continuity as active
Verifying Mac model reference... OK. Known...
