[Guide?] Semi working Mavericks on Dell Inspiron 1525

So I got Mavericks downloaded from the App store, your Mavericks files, Unibeast/Multibeast. I created my installed USB per the instructions. I tried installing it last night but it didn't go quite that smooth for me. I tried maybe 12 times to install, MOST of the time I got stuck at PCI...

[Guide?] Semi working Mavericks on Dell Inspiron 1525

I followed your original thread for the 1545 Mt Lion install, but I was never able to get it installed, and got frustrated with it. So I now have Mavericks installed on my desktop PC, I thought I'd give it a try again on my 1545. I typically am not able to get past the initial install scripts...

There has got to be something with 10.8.4. I have had no luck with trying multiple combinations. Might take a look at getting a machine a bit more hackintosh friendly. Thanks for all of your help Joe

Guide to Semi-Working Dell Inspiron 1525

The USB appears to be getting installed correctly. I'm doing sudo rm -rf /Volumes/Installer/System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext and sudo cp -r /path/to/downloaded/folder/sle/IOPCIFamily.kext /Volumes/Installer/System/Library/Extensions before the install completes. Unibeast...

Yeah, I think it's time to "step away from the computer young man". I'm having no luck. I can't even get the blasted thing to the install without flagging -x. I've re-installed the USB over and over and over.

Guide to Semi-Working Dell Inspiron 1525

No worries Joe, I got long way into getting it installed, but things got borked and I had to start over. When I get home, I'll give your suggestions a shot. I've had no problems with the USB, at all. Honestly, I'm not dual booting, so a change in the MAC shouldn't cause me any issues...

Guide to Semi-Working Dell Inspiron 1525

Ok, well, I'll be honest. I'm not exactly sure why, but after trying over and over, reformatting my USB, the installation took. I can now boot without having to be in safe mode. I followed the instructions over and over. The only thing I'm stopped at now is booting to ML from the disk drive...

Guide to Semi-Working Dell Inspiron 1525

I don't know if this makes any difference or not, but it does appear that the version I got from the App store is 10.8.4, not 10.8.2 as the instructions lists in the OP. I've been able to get the OS installed, and I've copied all of the kexts that the OP mentions, but I have not installed...
