i've done all that but i cannot change my DVMT memory. Do i have to use the UEFI shell method to change it?

NVM I got it! I tried the trick where i booted with no cache and then rebuilt the cache. Reboot! ITS WORKING!. Volume and all. Thanks!!! I totally started from scratch formatting the hdd and following all of the guide.

i have installed the original vanilla appleHDA.kext, and i updated all the files from the git project and installed the newest config plist to my EFI folder. Still not working. Here is a updated zip for problem reporting.

I've removed voodoohda.kext from my system. It was the only thing getting my audio working. I have the IDT audio in my 840 G1. I followed your guide and everything else worked except audio. In my audio properties under system report it would say Audio ID 17.

any progress on Sierra with the 840 G1? I had that installed and the trackpad properties didnt work along with some other stuff.

will this work with OS sierra? I've found that my trackpad works better in El Cap.. but i cannot get the trackpad prefernce pane in Sierra. I can however install El Cap and try following this guide as i tried this in sierra with no luck.
