While I was waiting for a reply, I decided to try installing onto the 2TB drive as one partition. It worked fine and the computer is running fine. Has something changed that now makes it possible to have the boot drive over 1TB?

Thank you very much. This totally solved the problem. Everything is running great except the two USB 2 ports in the back, which don't seem to be working. The front ones work, as do the four USB 3 ports in the back.

It does how up as a wireless adapter in the network section of System Preferences, but it doesn't show up as a wifi icon in the menu bar. I have no idea why that is happening -- I'm just happy the thing works.
