Major Sleep issue after Sierra update

I've got the exact same problem. I really have the impression that Sierra is the worst OSX update ever. It gives me nothing but trouble...

    Can't download Sierra

I finally managed to download Sierra. I used Clover Configurator as MultiBeast did not work. In the Clover Configurator you'll need to use the wand in SMSBIOS to create a completely new profile. That way I got it working (for the noobs in Clover Config: first mount your EFI partition, then...

Is nobody able to help me? It's driving me crazy and I've been searching the web all over for a solution but nothing up this point :'(

    No Audio (ALC889) - GA-Z68XP-UD3

And SOLVED :-) Seems that for some strange reason the sound output was set to Optical Out, while it should've been just standard 'Internal speakers' Man, such a stupid thing to spend hours searching for. Anyway, if anyone else has no sound, first check Sound in Settings, to make sure that...

Yosemite GA-Z68xp-ud3 : Can only boot using Unibeast USB drive and choosing HDD

For me it also worked. Only problem I have at this moment is no audio. But I'm trying to fix it in this thread: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/146346-no-audio-alc889-ga-z68xp-ud3.html#post969268

    No Audio (ALC889) - GA-Z68XP-UD3

I'm getting crazy. I've been trying for an hour already to get the sound working, all the rest seem to work perfect. I got my DSDT file, I see that it gets patched (timestamp of last change changes to current time) My Boot.plist has the right stuff (I think). And still nothing. Here is my...

Update Your OS X Mountain Lion App to 10.8.5

Combo update worked perfectly, only had to re-activate audio via MultiBeast. Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3, CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K @4.2GHz, GFX: Gigabyte GV-R6870C-1GD

    Mountain Lion Geekbench scores?

Just to say that my ML geekbench went from 5K to 14K (as it was on Lion). I first tried the SDDT but no go, then I went with NullCPUPowerManagement and bingo, everything runs ALOT faster.

Mountain Lion Slow Boot Up Time

I executed the patch code and had no change. UNTIL I just removed the UseKernelCache=YES from my boot.plist. I have no idea why, but after removing it my boot time is as fast as on Lion.

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

Sad to hear it never worked. For some reason I never succeeded in editing the kext myself, so I was glad that I could download it and get it to work. Maybe the kext only works for the Gigabyte cards?

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

I'm using the kext here and with a gigabyte card it works Both DP ports also work (but I connect them to the DP port of my monitor), no idea if they work with dvi adaptor. I do read that people suggest an active cable.

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

I don't know about the 2 mini-displayport (not mini-dvi :-) ). I use one for my dell screen, but that could be because of the altered kext. You should be able to find the console logs in Programs => Utilities (not sure about the names as I run OSX in Dutch) and there you should find a program...

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

Have you had a look at the console logs? Since your system hangs there should be some errors in the logs Oh yeah, you are in 64 bit like the rest of us, right? :)

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

I think you can keep the boot.plist. But you'll need to find the chimera boot.plist file I don't have chimera so it could be that you'll use the exact same file as i use.

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

I just run Kextutility to 'cleanup' stuff. It repairs disk permissions and does some checks as far as I use it :-) So just put the ATI6000Controller.kext where the original was and make the needed changes in the correct boot.plist file. After a reboot it should (hopefully :) ) give you dual screen.

    ok here is my info: I'm using the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file in /Extra folder. It's content is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key>...

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

I'm in 10.7.2 and also start from SSD. Have you tried to run kextutility afterwards? That sometimes cleans up stuff. I also run Onyx when faced with problems to clear caches etc. I'll see that later today I'll post my boot.plist, it is a bit longer than yours.

Radeon HD 6870 Dual monitor (DVI) not working SOLVED

Hi, as someone else said it should be 'Gibba' not 'Gabba'. I'll see that I post my boot.plist this evening here (if I don't forget, I have a lot of work to do :P )

in your boot.plist add: <key>AtiConfig</key> <string>Gibba</string> <key>AtiPorts</key> <string>5</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>yes</string> and then replace (after taking a backup) your existing ATI6000Controller.kext with the one you can download (after registering) on...
