Snow Leopard HDMI Audio - Part 1: Requirements

Hey Toleda, so I'm reading this post on Lion and am thinking - maybe I should upgrade? If yes, chances are whatever problems I have with my audio, it'll be more supported in Lion. After all, the more threads I see, the more they deal with Lion, 10.7.2 here and 10.7.3 there. Do you agree that I...

Kudos, I can't even edit the DSDT's, feeling lost.

Snow Leopard HDMI Audio - Part 1: Requirements

I was following the guide, saw nothing mentioned for sound at all. Is there a guide somewhere for sound preferences to check when doing the install? I guess I'll be doing Lion now, but haven't bought it yet. You mean all over again from scratch?!

Nothing - sound is still distorted. Maybe that's the issue I should've explained - it's there, but distorted.

Snow Leopard HDMI Audio - Part 1: Requirements

Sorry, I should've specified, it is indeed System -> Library -> Extensions. I'll check the DSDT install as well, reboot and see (hear?) what happens.

Snow Leopard HDMI Audio - Part 1: Requirements

I searched Library/Extensions for Voodoo and didn't find anything. How do I delete the Voodoo? I do have the DSDT sitting on the Desktop. Attached is what my Multibeast looks like now, before I click the Install. I should point out that I don't want to be using the back of the case or the mic...

Snow Leopard HDMI Audio - Part 1: Requirements

Don't really want to resurrect an old thread, but I'm having a bit a trouble with my board's audio - been having it ever since I got the Snow Leopard to work. Attached is what's in the MultiBeast 3.10.1 and what's on my desktop - neither helps my audio after reboot. After reading numerous posts...

    Little problems here and there

Here's what's in the console; I've included some stuff from yesterday to show the difference in time. It'd be nice if these entries were numbered. The System Reserved is a Windows partition. I've found some weird things, but they look strange to me mainly because I just don't know what those...

    Little problems here and there

There is a pile of stuff in the console; I've reset the timer/count; will take a closer look later. On the x64 side - attached is what I came across. The boot plist seems to have the arch 64 in it, but the 64 bit still doesn't appear in the Software.

I haven't got a chance to neither set up Time Machine or look at logs. Where could I check the logs?

Because I've been using the 10.6.8 ever since I got it to work, would the second one be fixed by reinstalling the OSX and losing everything I have right now?

    Little problems here and there

Sorry, been busy with school and work. Attached is the smbios screenshot. Yes, I spotted the problem with the memory page the moment you mentioned it - very weird. I cannot think of any other PC at the moment, sorry, but I'll switch the sticks around when I get a chance.

In the attached: 1 - yesterday night, 2 sticks; 2 - this morning, 2 sticks, test passed; 3 - this morning, 1 stick, test started.

Alright, let's see attached - they are indeed the same (well, they better be!) because I bought them in one pack - it's in my build thread. If there was something wrong, why would Windows recognize it? I still haven't run the memtest86, but I will later, I promise.

Sorry it's been a couple of days. Yeah, both the BIOS and my newly-installed Windows 7 64-bit see the RAM sticks - see attached. [1] - Yes, it is. It's like with women - they can safely only do 3 sticks at the same time; 4 would be pushing it, but 2 is okay. :silent: Ideally it's one, but it...

When booted, go to Terminal and type ifconfig en0 down, wait until it registers and then do ifconfig en0 up. It's not the kext removal, but still try.

Okay, I've installed the Chimera 1.7.0, followed by rebooting and indicating "arch=x86_64" at the boot. Now I see that it's 64 bit, but it's still only 4 GB of RAM.
