    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

Hi everyone, I have a Sapphire Nitro + 5700 XT which is mostly working well, but I have a potentially big and worrying problem with it. This card has a zero RPM fan feature where the fans are completely off below a certain temperature, it seems to be working well most of the time : as soon as I...

    [SUCCESS] El Capitan 10.11 Clover | GA-Z68x-UD3H-B3 | AMD 6870 | 2600K

I'm pretty sure you don't need AppleIntelE1000.kext and Atheros2200Ethernet.kext since those don't correspond to the network chipset of this motherboard (which is the Realtek). So fakeSMC (+plugins for hardware monitor) and Realtek are enough.

    4k Monitor brightness control?

DDC is the proper way to do this, as the apps that overlay a black transparent window decrease contrast and color range. Unfortunately DDC suffers from bad support from everyone (monitor constructors and apple SDK), which is why DDC-CI can only set a brightness and not retrieve one (which is why...

GA Z68A-D3H-B3 El Capitan USB 3.0 working but not with Sabrent USB 3 hub

Well it's at least *partly* supported: on my hack with the same chip, the USB3 devices I plug directly on the USB3 ports work at USB3 speeds. I have the same problem when I connect a hub though.

how to get usb 3.0 working on GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3???

I have the same board, and for me the USB3 ports mostly work, at least for USB3 devices (10.11.1, Clover, MacPro3,1 SMBIOS). I tested an USB3 stick and and USB3 external hard disk and both mount and transfer at USB3 speeds. I have another USB3 stick that would mount but unmount if I tried to...

GA Z68A-D3H-B3 El Capitan USB 3.0 working but not with Sabrent USB 3 hub

I have a Z68 board with the same USB chip (Etron), and I seem to have the same problem. The USB3 ports seem to work natively (quite surprisingly), but connecting a hub doesn't work. What is your SMBIOS ? What are the name of your USB ports in IOregistry ?

how to get usb 3.0 working on GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3???

I have the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 board, with the same Etron USB3 controllers, and now the USB 3 ports seem to work natively on El Capitan (no need for kext or patches). Connecting a hub to them doesn't seem to work though, I have to do more testing. I use clover and the UEFI U1L bios.

Z68X-UD3H B3 fresh install doesn't boot past apple loading bar

It worked for me with that board and processor (updated to UEFI U1L) and clover, using MacPro 3.1 SMBIOS (I don't use the integrated graphics though). Did you make sure you have the important kexts (latest fake SMC mostly) in the proper folder in the EFI partition (Clover/Kexts/10.11) ? And did...

    El Capitan & GTX 960

Just don't inject nvidia. With web drivers and Maxwell cards, the other two boot flags are enough (nvda_drv=1 dev_mode=1)

    Stork's Zorro Build: Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000

Just did a test update to El Capitan on the Z68X-UD3H-B3 with UEFI bios U1L (i5 2500K, GTX 970, Mac Pro 3.1 SMBIOS)... and everything seems to work very nicely... actually better than in Yosemite at first sight. • The USB 3 chip (Etron) is recognized natively (I had to use clover patches in...

El capitan USB issues - possible fix.

Just did a test install, the USB 3 chip in my Z68X-UD3H-B3 (Etron EJ168) does indeed seem to work natively in El Capitan !

El capitan USB issues - possible fix.

Wondering about the same thing (Etron USB3 controller, now working nicely in 10.10 with clover patches). If there is no hope, what is the status of USB3 PCI cards in El Cap, are any natively supported ?

    Stork's Zorro Build: Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000

Anyone making the jump to El Capitan with this build ? I'm pretty curious about how it goes. Currently I'm on 10.10.5, with bios updated to UEFI and clover. Wondering about USB3 and all.

    GTX 970 Color Profile Problem

It could be because your mac sees the monitor as a TV. The way to correct that is to do an EDID override. Try to follow instructions there http://www.ireckon.net/2013/03/force-rgb-mode-in-mac-os-x-to-fix-the-picture-quality-of-an-external-monitor

    Dell 4k Display @60Hz and Geforce 960GTX

Monitors that use MST (I think it's sadly the case of yours), only work at 30Hz with the nvidia web drivers, and no tweak seems able to solve that (see http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/161412-still-no-60hz-4k-10-10-3-a.html). People with SST monitors have no problems provided their System Def...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.4 (346.01.03, 346.02.02)

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.4 (346.01.03) Once in the clover screen, I pressed space and picked "boot without cache". I guess it ignores the kextcache for that boot. It could also have been that I made a mistake in booting the first time around.

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.4 (346.01.03, 346.02.02)

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.4 (346.01.03) All good for me. I had to set clover to boot without cache for the first reboot after install (the one that you do with nv_disable=1 so that the drivers can be installed).

Cinema Display not detected GTX 980 latest web drivers

There is no reason this monitor shouldn't work. However, some monitors (for example when mine is set to displayport 1.2), go to sleep at some point during the boot. From your description, this could be what happens with this one. The only solution I know of is to just turn the monitor off and on...
