    OverClock Settings with my configuration

I totally agree with you. I am trying the voltage method and set my voltage at "NORMAL" and started off with +.050 offset in DVID. Now I researched and found out that a lot of people are stable at +.060 give or take, depending on the board. At +.050 I got a BSOD right away. I slowly made my way...

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

I tried a few other things and found out this is very stable for me but I also would like to keep the degration of the chip to a minimum. I feel like am going in circles here :( This is without using any offset or LLC. Settings: CPUz Idle Voltage: 1.380 CPUz Load Voltage: 1.368 Idle...

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

Seems like +.060 was the sweet spot. Ran Prime for over 2 hours and no BSOD or freezes. But just curious, the Vcore and temp looks almost identical to my original settings with LLC. Here are some photos. Maybe I am missing something. If it is the same results what is the difference in theses...

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

I did what you suggested and I have yet to find a stable setting. I went from your -.045 to +.060. Should I keep going up?

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

So let me clarify from my other post: My Vcore is 1.345 at 45x DVID: -.045 did not boot next step DVID: -.050? and keep going negative until it boots?

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

Thank you so much. Now my VCore is 1.225. I put it as NORMAL with the DVID at -.045V like you said. Just to be clear when you say go "up" do you mean making the "-.045" to -.040 or -.050. I just need to know what direction to go too :) Again I appreciate your time with the photos.

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

I just tried your settings and windows tried to load but freezes. Do I just start moving the DVID number up until windows loads? Is that the only number I should touch from your settings? Also did you leave TB on as Auto? I apologies for all the questions

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

Sorry noobie here. I put everything back to "stock". So now Im at: 34x Vcore: 1.225 TB: enabled auto Which "variable settings" are you referring too? I am not sure where to start. I do know I want 45x

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

Thanks Mcfool123. I've been messing with the settings all day and finally see what LLC does via CPU-Z. I think I finally got it to be stable (Prime still testing) VCore: 1.265 LLC: Level 7 TB set to 45 for each core everything else is auto. CPU-Z reads the voltage @ 1.356 now with a temp of...

    OverClock Settings with my configuration

I'm very new to OC'ing and been researching a lot on which settings is best for my hardware. I understand that its mostly a trail and error solution but heres where im stuck. I got my GB score from 12800ish to 16000ish by doing the following settings from this thread: Multiplier: 45 load-line...

    I'm I doomed?

So its been about 1 week since I finished my G5 Hackintosh and I loved it. Because I got the i7 2600K I wanted to take the full potential of the chip, I wanted to try OC it. I've been researching for a few days and just yesterday I finished installing Windows 7 on a separate HDD because I...

    PSU Upgrade?

Awesome thank you. Thats a relief. I wasn't going to dip my feet into overclocking because of one particular reason. I don't think I have the energy to remake the custom PSU to fit in the original G5 PSU casing again if I had to increase the PSU wattage. >.<

    PSU Upgrade?

Hello guys. I finally finished my g5 hackintosh and love it. I used the recommend parts from the Custom Mac Pro Build Section with the i7 2600k option and 650W PSU http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/search/label/CustoMac The only thing I added was 4 case fans and 2 fans for the PSU. My question...
