I'm running 64GB (4x16) of PC3400 Corsair, at XMP timings, with no issues at all. Possibly the most stable computer I have ever built. Running I7 6700K at 4.6GHz as well.

I ended up going with the Z170X Designare. It is working out very well for me. I have not played with the Thunderbolt stuff on it. Will probably have to at some point, though. This board is rock solid for me.
