How did you do the update, I am considering to do it aswell. Thanks.
The screen overall is crap, and if I really want to work with a pc I need a large screen, yes. For surfing the web it might be enough.
I found out that if I use the notebook's screen there're only lines sometimes and no freezes. Horrible glitch massacre and freezes only happen when lid is fully closed and plugged in via hdmi (hdmi2dvi adapter) an external screen with a resolution of 1680x1050. So is it the couple more pixels...
I had the machine running for about 3 days with the HD 3000 and had about 50 freezes,
since the last reinstallation it froze about 3 times now. there's no working with that =(
both produced screen freezes and gfx glitches just as well, yes =)
fixed how? is there a way to get out of the freeze without rebooting?
unfortunately the machine is useless when crashing randomly =(
neither of both dsdts (f09 hd 3000, and you new one) have caused a panic the last 10 reboots or so.
but the new dsdt caused a freeze/crash within the os, not immediately but some time after boot, when copying files.
They came up in the boot process, right before the actual login screen is supposed to pop up. I could see the spinning thingy and the apple logo. but then boom.
Is that what you mean with "what"?
OK
deleted the file
rebooted
extracted the dsdt file and saved it via "File/Save DSL as ..." hope that's right
btw. I had two kernel panics in a row after reinstalling the F09 DSDT
I had no freeze again yet, but glitches all over the place, firefox went black a couple of times while playing...
It does boot with hd 3000 F09 selected, however the glitches still do appear from time to time and if the freezes and crashes come again, I still have a problem.
May it be advisable to update the bios?
Yes, reinstall in progress now, had the usb drive plugged in on the left side, that didn't work, sorry.
Still: do I have to choose F09 (my bios) from "4230s-4530s HD 3000" althought my one is 4530s Radeon?
unfortunately no, still the same message "still waiting for root device" when trying to reinstall, and same black screen when booting into the still existent osx.
cant't I just somehow clear the whole disk, so that it is like before?
thanks, that worked
=(
I enhanced the overall picture via System Preferences/Displays/Color
I haven't seen it again neither
I figured out that if the lid is closed immediately after pressing the on-switch, it works (HDMI)
I still do have many major problems:
The gfx glitches won't...
Hi folks,
I successfully installed Lion 10.7.0 and updated to 10.7.1 and 10.7.2 on my german 4530s via this guide, so thanks to blueking, tonymacx86 and all people involved in making hackintoshs work.
Some things are still bugging my though:
1.
- At 10.7.0 I had a keyboard and mouse missing...
