NEW NVIDIA Drivers and GTX 980 HDMI connection: Problem solved!!!

Be warned for 4k users. I've updated this afternoon, and I'm no longer able to get 4K output over HDMI or DVI (using a DVI to HDMI cable). I've been using 4K for a couple of weeks with the last update and this has set me back. Oops.

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.1 (343.01.02)

Installed on a Inn3D GTX 970 with no drama. Can't really tell if there's any improvements, but it came back up successfully without any problems. CUDA driver is still whining about needing an update that doesn't exist. Not that many apps officially support the 970 anyway at the moment. Premiere...

It doesn't work. So definitely confirmed issues with 3D Ray Tracing using CUDA. Appears to be no problem with Mercury Playback Engine though.

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.0 (343.01.01) with 'Maxwell' GeForce GTX 970 an

I've had DVI dual link running at 2560x1440 at the same time as running HDMI at 1080p into the 4K TV. If I can't get the 4K into HDMI resolved I'm going to have to run with a Windows build. I've just been a little bit sick in my mouth :-)

It appears to be. Although I can't really comment on how well it is performing as its not officially supported yet. I'll have to do some more testing.

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.0 (343.01.01) with 'Maxwell' GeForce GTX 970 an

On further investigation with my issues of getting the damned thing to display any form of 4k I've nailed this down to one of two things. 1) This is a driver issue. I've installed Windows 10 Preview onto an alternate SSD, installed the latest Nvidia drivers from the website and boom...

I've got CUDA working in 10.10.1. Cuda-Z picks it up, although Cuda Pref Panel shows an update is required. It still works though, and I'm able to get Adobe CC/PP to use CUDA in unsupported GPU mode (expected). Tim

    GTX 970 / GTX 980 are here

New cable arrived this morning. No dice, still only able to select 1080p over HDMI. I'm using 'Display Menu' from the App Store and that doesn't give me any extra resolutions either. Any ideas?

Thanks for that. I've ordered a new cable on Amazon for delivery tomorrow, so I'll update then. Just odd that the same cables will allow 4k/30p (4:2:0) on my MBP, but I don't even get that option on the GTX970. It might be that the GTX970 isn't capable of negotiating 4:2:0 and hence defaults to...

Post OS X Cinebench CPU and Graphics Benchmarks

Post OS X Yosemite Cinebench CPU and Graphics Benchmarks I get exactly the same. Anyone else get the same and fixed? Using OS X 10.10.1 on an old Asus P7P55D and a Inno3D GTX970. Only thing I can see I have in common with the previous poster, is that I have CUDA drivers installed also.

I was under the impression that DP to HDMI adapters didn't support 4k? That's what the consensus was when investigating my MacBook Pro GTX750M connected to the same panel.

Hi guys Apologies for dual posting in the post-install section, just wondering if someone can help me. I've got everything up and running, and the card boots well into OS X 10.10.1. I'm using the web driver, as the native driver brings the system down to its knees. I've also got CUDA...

Quick request and thanks in advance for anyone that can offer guidance. I've got my recently acquired GTX970 (Innov3D) setup thanks to all the great instructions in these forums. There's one last thing I'm snagged on though. I can only get the display to allow 1080P over HDMI, with no...
