    Definitely, its what I used as well. Although the reading was a bit spikey (between 5-25W), after sleep the ~10W increase in draw was easy to notice. Pulling the battery is probably needed as well to get a good reading.

    You're absolutely right. The point was to make users more aware of the fact that the discrete graphics may turn on again after wake without them knowing and sleep/wake otherwise working fine. :)

    For what its worth, I've noticed that on my laptop, the discrete graphics card gets enabled again after a wake from sleep. This can be hard to tell, because in my case it did not show up in System Profiler or IOReg, since I think they only get updated at boot time, and not after a wake from...
