    5770 sleeps on boot

Is that the actual resolution of your monitor? EDIT: This actually works for me too! My desktop resolution is 2560x1440, which my BIOS doesn't support, but putting 1920x1440 made it work nonetheless. I assumed it wouldn't work since my desktop resolution was higher. Silly me for not even trying.

    5770 sleeps on boot

Yeah same here, every time I boot, the screen goes blank until I sleep it and wake it back up.

    5770 sleeps on boot

Thanks guys, I'll try the Graphics Mode when I get a chance. For now, I am using the free Sleep app from Dockables: http://getdockables.com/. I set it as a login item so that my screen goes to sleep as soon as I get into osx, then all I have to do is move the mouse or hit a key. It's not...

CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.7+64bit)

Re: CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.6+64bit) On the topic of cinebench, it does make me sad that I get 27fps in OSX and 60fps when I reboot into windows. Is that just the way things are, or is it actually a limitation of running osx on unsupported hardware?

CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.7+64bit)

Re: CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.6+64bit) So I just reinstalled everything with updated BIOS identical to your guide, and the problem persists. I have found a workaround where I can hit control+shift+eject after osx starts, which is the hotkey to sleep all displays...

CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.7+64bit)

Re: CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.6+64bit) I had no problems when installing Windows 7 and no problems until after rebooting when MultiBeast finished. I have no other problems. I've also noticed that if I unplug the DVI cable and plug it back in, this will also turn the...

Alternatively, I can unplug the DVI cable and plug it back in, and the screen comes on.

CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.7+64bit)

Re: CustoMac Pro Install Guide (X58A-UD3R+ATI 5770+10.6.6+64bit) Thanks for the great guide! I got everything working except for one annoyance: As soon as I boot into osx, my video card (Asus 5770) powers down and goes to sleep (fan slows down, screen goes black), while it's clear the system...

    5770 sleeps on boot

Hello, I just recently got everything installed and working, although I didn't know right away things were working. Whenever I boot, after the gray apple logo screen, the video goes blank. I can tell the video card even powers down because the fan slows down. I then have to put the computer...
