It's interesting - I've have a very similar EFI to you, but I am on the non-i Vision D. My Thunderbolt won't even work with "Boot from Thunderbolt" disabled, which I note you have set. *edit* I should add that, it works fine with "Boot from Thunderbolt" enabled, just no hot plug.

I have XMP and both Thunderbolts working with a Radeon VII in the top slot (and the middle one). I'm not using the top M.2 NVMe though. Sounds like your diagnosis could be correct.

Oh, you just made me realise what the problem is. Thanks! I copied someone's EFI to base mine on. But they have the Z590i which has a different audio layout.

Has anyone had a strange issue with on-board audio (Z590 Vision D), where the balance and volume get changed on a cold boot? I'm guessing my usbmap must be wrong, but I didn't have anything to test the internal headers with.
