this didn't work. When I changed as suggested by you, the system booted up just fine, but when I tried to send it to sleep, the screen was showing this:

I got distracted by other things, but now I have setup my USB properly.
I don't know what's behind HS13 and HS14, though.
Still my Hackintosh goes to sleep and stays asleep alright. But, when it should wake, the screen stays dark, and the display goes back to standby-mode. :(
@CaseySJ I tried following the guide, but came across a problem. I started on the front USB connectors, but the first one I tried accepts only USB2.0 although it should be USB3.2 according to the labeling on the MB:
Hackintool shows as follows. When an USB3.0 stick is inserted, nothing...

thanks for your fast reply. Umm, I have to admit that I haven't yet configured the USB Ports. I will do so now following the guide here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/the-new-beginners-guide-to-usb-port-configuration.286553/ and see if that helps.
