Thanks for this solution, this helped me with my GA-Z97X-UD5H motherboard. Installed IntelMausiEthernet v2.2.0 and removed AplleIntelE1000e.kext v3.3.6.

True, the main reason I have also Windows10 installed is because of the occasional game...although when no windows was installed I was more productive musically ;)

GenericUSBXHCI.kext gets installed by selecting 'third party usb driver'... I suspect driverconflict with native osx usb driver which works perfect for me (USB2 &3) Less is more, I only installed Clover and FakeSMC, system is solid as a rock, trippleboot win10/El Capitan/Sierra. Hope your system...

Do you have "genericUSB kext" in extensions folder ? Remove it. I had the exact same problem and my Scarlett 18i20 first gen works flawless in El Capitan and Sierra...

Check in AudioMidi panel if samplerate of Scarlett is set to 96kHz. Mine was and if I switched it back to 44.1 kHz everything went smooth, as I also have an aggregate device with iConnectMidi4+ set to 44,1 kHz.

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97-UD5H Motherboard, an i7 4790k processor, Geforce GTX 760 2GB, 16 GB of RAM crucial balistics...and this setup is I believe quite future proof. I use Logic Pro X 10.1.1 and Ableton Live 9 with a lot of ease, plenty of processorpower in reserve. Had a few issues (freezes)...

No freezes so far...fingers crossed...(BIOS F9f, XMP profile 2, Vt-D+Wake on LAN+onboard Audio and Graphics disabled,... ). Did multitrack recording in Logic X and Ableton, moved plenty of GB's to USB-HDD, lots of multitasking without a problem... I'll report if I get a freeze...

No freezes anymore with 4 dimms of 4GB RAM @1600MHz (XMP profile 2) after I flashed BIOS back to F8 and installed AppleACPIPlatform.kext rollback 10.9 from multibeast...

Still no freezes over here :)
