Thanks for that. I did the git pull, and pulled and installed the tools (but not the kexts).
I built the AppleHDA_ALC269.kext, but still no dice. :(
I'm attaching the most recent update of my files and the associated kexts.
My head hurts again.
I kind of gamed the system and installed the AppleHDA-269.pkg from the Multibeast 7.4 package. Wonderful day! I had sound. So now, with a working AppleHDA, I set to build my own DummyHDA.
Long story short, I've gone back to the stock AppleHDA several times, and then...
I will move Codec Commander from /EFI.
I actually had DummyHDA in both /EFI and /S/L/E, but have already removed the one from /EFI.
I'm in the process of making another DummyHDA right now and will report back.
Hmmm. Did I do something wrong? That's what I used. I did a "Save" or a "Save As..." and chose the binary output.
Is this the only problem? I should be able to edit that if it's the only incorrect line.
Yes. It's in the kextstat output.
Thanks for the speedy response, RehabMan.
I have used DPCIManager to rebuild the caches after fixing permissions, and rebooting with caches disabled.
I rebooted twice, but I still don't have audio. :(
I have included the updated boot log, and a screen cap of DPCIManager. All else is in the...
I'm having a similar problem. I can't figure out what's wrong on mine.
I followed the guide here and most stuff is working (as I replied in that post there).
Working:
Battery
Backlight
Wifi
Ethernet
Not Installed/Configured:
SSDT
Power Management (using NullPowerManagement still)
Not...
I have followed this guide and learned much, and succeeded much, but not completely.
I have extracted my own DSDT and patched it. I have not yet build an SSDT, only because I'm trying to finish audio before I do so.
Working:
Battery
Backlight
Wifi
Ethernet
Not Installed/Configured:
SSDT...
I have verified that this is wifi dependent. I do not know why the wifi on my MBA is locked down like this, nor do I know how to reset it.
When I connect my MBA to a 27" Thunderbolt display (with integrated ethernet) it connects as expected to all of the ports as before.
What gives with wifi?
Has anyone seen this and does anyone know what it is? I have a 13" MBA and 2 nearly identical hackintoshes. I cannot connect from the MBA to the hackintoshes or vice versa. The ports are all open, and I can connect from Linux machines, just not Macs/Hackintoshes.
To reiterate, I can connect...
I'm facing the dreaded AICPM kernel panic. I've tried several DSDTs and SSDTs; patched kexts and still can't get my Z580 w/ i5-3210M to work with the power-management. I'm using a Unibeast 3.0.1 install with 10.9.1
Anyone else run into this?
Indeed, my question is similar. Has anyone installed 10.9 Mavericks on a Z580 successfully? Especially in light of the stupid-simple upgrade with UniBeast 3 and MultiBeast 6 for my other machines.
I found a free solution in one of my posts several pages back. It's not a complete solution, as you are likely to still have some washout.
This solution is commercial and I tested it for free. It seems to do better as you have control over the colors and such...
Yes, but mine does not have dual GPUs (and I'm pretty sure the same goes for Turkawa), but only the HD4000. It makes a difference. The DSDT would be quite different as a result.
Whoa! Huge red flag here:
Okay, if you have a Z580 with a built-in nVidia/GeForce GT630m, then our DSDT will NOT be the same for you. Our DSDT is for a Z580 with the Intel HD4000 graphics. Deleting the GeForce and NVidia kexts is likely, for you, a bad idea. You'll need to extract the...
There's a full list of kexts to delete in this thread somewhere. I'm pretty sure it was from Turkawa.
It sounds to me, though, that you have the correct list with what you said. I'm still not sure why your Z580 isn't working. Which model number is it? Is it really new? Older?
Unless...
SNAP! I wonder if that's part of the reason I had to re-install. After updating from 10.8.3 to 10.8.4, I did NOT re-delete the ATI and nVidia kexts. No matter, though. It's working well now.
I even have it joined to an OS X server domain and doing mobile users (syncing profiles, etc).
