    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi @CaseySJ / All, since I deleted bluetooth.plist and which got recreated on startup, the issue (BT getting disabled, greyed out icon in menu bar) didn't occur so far. It is 3+ days now, whereas it was a daily/random problem. So conclusion am making is - it was not a hardware (BT Card) fault...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

No, doesn't seem and this is not antenna issue, 3 years no problem, same location, same box (one side glass panel), only HDMI cable in the back, very clean. Interestingly I don't even update the s/w (there is a sec.patch 2022-005 for Catalina ver. 10.15.7, which I never applied in last 2 years...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

So I was too quick to be happy on the BT card change - it is still happening :( - with the new card as well. @CaseySJ - any idea what can cause it (BT getting disabled randomly)?

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Thanks @CaseySJ - Not sure if symptom has gone forever or come back with the new Fenvi-T-919 but for now I have put the new card in. - Both my BT Keyboard(Logitech) and Apple Mouse 2 were not recognized; - So connected one wired keyboard, and a USB-dongle-mouse; - Start/Restart and then logged...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Bluetooth getting disabled is random. Sometimes I see it disabled, so I shutdown the desktop and then start again, bluetooth works fine (apple mouse 2 and logitech w/l keyboard). But again after 1, 4 or random hours it will turn disabled. Sometimes it works fine for a day even. So I believe the...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi @CaseySJ/All here... 3 years and this build is still running fine for me except... Bluetooth goes off sometimes. Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi @CaseySJ - any plan for a new intel based build in 2023? I have same build as yours Z490D-w/i9-10th/RX580, but it seems slow a bit now. It works perfectly, no issues (thanks to you), just thinking if you have a plan for a new build. Also thinking if it costs around 2k then is mac-mini-m1/2 worth.

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ - Good news :) - my issue got solved - on not booting post login... I took all my data out (using NVME-2-USB adapter), and today thought let me format that NVME SSD and install OS again, since I already have the old USB from Oct/2020. So I started with step 6 (and good that by this...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Tried didn't do anything different. Thanks for the help, now that I have my data out, I will rather format and re-do installation instead of more debug. It would have been nice though to fix this, as I see the Catalina SDD is all fine when used via a USB adapter, it did asked me for admin/pwd...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Thanks @CaseySJ - went with option 2 - I got a similar M.2/NVME-2-USB adapter, and got all my remaining data out from Catalina NVME-SSD - so all good on personal data part. Thanks for your input/help, and sorry for killing your time on this :) - just a silly mistake on my side. So now I can...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi @CaseySJ - on this build which am using since Oct/2020, I accidently removed the SSD (Crucial NVMe which I configured as CATALINA), so GIGABYTE ADV screen showed up. When I realized my mistake, I exited without save, switch off, put SSD back, and booted - but now it goes till asking for...

So you are saying: For 'Install MAC OS updates' - careful, have bootable usb ready/updated before applying any OS update For 'Install system data files and security updates' - it is ok to apply it, when update is available

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi @CaseySJ, Friends... everything is fine with my setup... but my mind is sleeping, so let me ask this silly question: Am on Catalina 10.15.7 since I built my hackintosh - can I apply security update from apple or not (there is a security update for 10.15.7 and keeps asking me to update'? If...
