    Thank you it’s about to re install Mac OS X Lion but asking to select the disc to install lion. There is nothing there? I’m guessing I need disk utility to remount it? That could be tricky?

    Thank you, the machine won’t boot at all as a deleted the Macintosh HDD leaving just the data HDD. It won’t even boot now just sows the circle with line through. When I hold options on startup there is only one disc the “data HDD” thank you all for your help so far. I really appreciate it

    I was asking about the graphics configuration and was simply replying to the kind people who reached out. I now know Understand more but confused slightly but my task today is to try and revert back to high Sierra. Thanks everyone

    Thank you, when I installed Sierra final cut wouldn’t install due to needed updated OS. Hence the Catalina installation?

    Thank you so much for the fast response and kind reply. When I installed Catalina the tutorial at one point it made me unmount the HDD and change the format? Is it easy/straight forward to revert back? When I installed Sierra final cut said I needed os upgrade so unsure which to install now...
