[Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen

Bad news, i just notice something. when i query setup_var 0x398 for Launch CSM. it's returning 0x00. So i change it to 0x01 using setup_var 0x398 0x1, setup_var2 0x398 0x1, setup_var_3 0x398 0x1. Everytime i restart i query the value, it comes back to 0x00. From the BIOS exe i gave you first...

Update: Actually i managed to change the bios lock and dvmt memory. But i have no way to confirm if that change actually take place. My mistake was i didn't boot UEFI when i run setup_var command. Good news so far, my laptop is not bricked. I can boot alright and if I boot to grub mod shell...

Apology for not replying quickly, work is crazy these few days. I'm not sure which file you need from the bios. I have .rom file from extraction, and i have .bin file which is bios region section in UEFI tool. Also the .CAP file i extract those 2 files from. I'm attaching 3 of them. Again thank...

Thank you so much for getting back super quick. I've added HfsPlusLegacy.efi file in the drivers folder as it wasn't showing my hackintosh partition when i boot legacy. So after i boot legacy with the clover zip you attached plus the HfsPlusLegacy.efi, my boot stuck in this step (attached) for...

I've just tried the changes you suggested, but I might be doing something wrong. Could you please check my clover folder if i'm following your instruction alright? I've managed to boot legacy then use the config.plist in the attached clover folder. I think it's getting worse. I can't take...

wow thank you for such detailed instructions!! i really appreciate your effort in writing them. I'll try it when i got chance and report the result. one thing i notice is that i don't have option is to set DVMT pre allocated from bios. I'll have to do that via config.plist in device properties.

this is the only option i have in my bios in terms of booting option. if i switch to legacy i won't be able to boot to clover in my ssd as it's installed as only UEFI boot. unfortunately i don't have option to enable legacy support then boot UEFI at the same time. am i making sense? again...

[Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen

Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding, bios option CSM is legacy support enabled. I don't have such option. What my bios option has is to switch legacy boot instead of UEFI. but that means i have to reformat my whole drive and re install mac OS in MBR partition table. but is that even...
