    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

@snoopy69: Today I had time to update my EFI with your latest version. Now an update to 14.2.1 was suggested. After approx. 30 mins I'm up-to-date again. Everything looks fine so far. Thanks a lot for your help! Would it be possible to attach the latest EFI version to post #1?

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Since I have installed Sonoma two month ago, I am still on version 14.0 (23A344). Every day the system is checking for new updates, but every time I get the message my mac is up-to-date. Is there somewhere a hidden parameter that avoid further upgrades?

Patch was applied via OCLP and everything is working now. Over the last days all test are successful. If no other issues comes up, I will move Sonoma to my main system too. Thank you for your support!

To be save I've installed Sonoma to a new drive with my original OC 0.95 config, than restore from time machine backup. It runs as expected. All programs running fine, Bluetooth is working. Only WLAN is currently disabled, so need to follow the steps from snoopy69.

Hi pastrychef, would you already recommend to upgrade / install to Sonoma? Would it be the same way you described below?

I changed the KeySupport parameter from false to true and the keyboard works again. Thanks a lot for your quick help! I checked out the older versions. This parameter was always set to false and it worked. What has changed?

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Up to OC 0.8.8 the update always worked. Only the SN, UUID and ROM id had to be entered and my customized USBPorts.kext stored. My Logitech keyboard has an own USB dongle; BT is a separate BMC94360CS2 pci card. Since OC 0.8.9 this no longer works. Neither the keyboard nor mouse or trackpad...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Upgrade from 12.6.1 to 13.0 went fine without any issues. OC was upgraded to 0.8.5 before.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Sure, the USBPorts.kext was already edited. The problem was a broken cable between PCI card and motherboard. After replacing the cable, it works now. I can't believe it...a brand new card with a bad cable.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Since my old Bluetooth USB adapter no longer works with Monterey, I ordered a PCI card with BCM94360. The card arrived today and has been installed. Normally I would have expected WiFi and Bluetooth to work without further changes. WLAN works, BT unfortunately not. Hackintool recognizes the...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I restored my system back to Big Sur and everything worked as expected. I have no explanation why Big Sur recognized my Bluetooth USB adapter, and a fresh installation of Monterey did not recognized it.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Thanks for the hint. Unfortunately that didn't fix my problem. The USB adapter works without any problems under BigSur (and all versions before), but no longer under Monterey. Is there any other USB adapter that will work safely with Monterey?

Of course, I checked that first. The configuration is still exactly the same as under BigSur. The adapter is also recognized. Switching to another port has not changed anything either.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I successfully upgraded from Big Sur to Monterey today. Everything works so far again, only Bluetooth no longer works. I am using the original config from pastrychef 0.7.4. Upgrading to 0.7.5 did not fix the Bluetooth problem either. I am using a Bluetooth USB adapter (Trust 18187 V4.0). Does...

ok .... I didn't know that Big Sur had to be started by preboot. Thanks for the information. Shutting down the system is not a problem. So far I have always used your EFI folder from Post # 1 and never had any problems with it.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I now have Big Sur installed on my system. Unfortunately, I have had strange side effects since then. Until now I could not find a solution. What have I done so far? 1. Upgrade Bootloader to r5127 - successful 2. EFI Folder r5127 from Post # 1 with my SN, SmUUID, Board SN 3. Boot USB stick...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I don't think it's a hardware issue. But I can't exclude it. Unfortunately I currently have no replacement for my 1TB NVMe SSD. I actually wanted to rule out the possibility that the problem might be related to my boot configuration. Apparently I'm the only one with this particular problem. I...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

The system hangs when the MacOS background wallpaper is already loaded and after I have entered my password. Taking a screenshot of this will probably not help. Sometimes the system still manages to bring the icons to the desktop, but most of the time not even that. In any case, neither the...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I have had an intermittent problem since moving to Catalina. The system boots normally until the password is entered. I can still enter the password, the system stops shortly afterwards (sometimes earlier, sometimes later). Neither keyboard, mouse or trackpad will work. The only option is a hard...
