    Hey guys, I've found a solution for this, I had exactly the same problem with my H67. I believe the reason is that I installed Chimera 2.0.1 (weeks ago), it conflicts with MB 5.2.1. I burned rBoot to a CD and started from the rBoot cd, selected ML partition and booted with -F (capital!)...

    Why spend so much money and still no SSD? I bet a $500 system with a SSD feels much faster. Crucial M4 and Samsung 830 are good choices. But if I were you, I would wait a little longer for the Ivy Bridge processors. And according to this topic, you're better off with the new Z77 chipset.

    Try to delete the AppleRTC folder immediately when the installer is still running. I had some success when doing that.

    Yes when I unchecked it, it worked once. But then a second time it failed again (still unchecked and no files on the Desktop). It doesn't matter cause everything is updated now (I hope). But it still doesn't work flawless. I read other people experience the same problems.

    Re: Multibeast 4.2.0 failing It still doesn't work with me though. The moment this folder: "IOAHCIFamily-Backup" appears on the desktop, the installation fails. I don't have any old backup folder on the desktop.
