No sorry . The Bios reads the drive fine. But then it hangs on scan entries. This is the old 3.5 sata drive for my backup. My main System drive is the Nvme M.2 drive that is crashing.

Do you have any ideas why when i plug in my 3.5" data to backup (M.2 still being the system drive) it makes booting hang at Scan Entries? It reads it in the BIOS. Also im just tried copying my Music folder to another drive and it stopped after about 30gig and said a certain file didn't have...

Oh cool re don’t steal Mac. Yes for some reason my usual 3.5” sata backup drive now causes a hang at “scan entries”. So I can’t back up. Why might this be ? My 2.5” ssd iTunes drives are load fine though. So I’ve bought another SSD to try to clone / arrives tomorrow. Scary.

Maybe but only today has it not been seeing that drive after a crash. I wish I had more reports from before. I noticed “don’t steal Mac” in there. I know that Apple put that in there but is it something to be concerned about? how about motherboard issues?
