Nice work. I made said changes and...it still lags. The monitor information now shows up correctly in Profiler, but there is no change in lag behavior in QT, VLC, or Youtube, regardless of whether Perian is installed. FML. I guess I'll keep changing things until something works. Glad it worked...

I too installed via UniBeast (which is a godsend) and EasyBeast with additional network and audio drivers. The HD lag was present without those drivers installed. I also just tried booting with Eulemur framebuffer which didn't do anything. I hope somebody has new ideas because I'm running out.
