    Slow as Mud

RAM checks out. With a single stick in slot 1 the GB score boosted to 4000. I then swapped the sticks and ran GB again and it dropped to 3200. All power-saving features are disabled. It has got to be something in BIOS or somewhere in the hardware because the GB scores are comparable in W7 and...

    Slow as Mud

nullcpumanagement fixed KP, thank you. I don't see any speedstep options in BIOS. Changed the blue settings from default to those listed below. OverSpeed Protection [Enabled] C1E Support [Disabled] Power Technology [Custom] EuP2012 [Disabled] Intel C-State [Disabled] CPU Phase Control [Intel...

    Slow as Mud

EasyBeast. I ran through your guide to create a custom DSDT for my mobo and it KP'd with no additional options selected in MultiBeast. It did give me a PCIRootUID error before KP, however. Each attempt was done with a 10.7.2 clean install using UniBeast. EasyBeast works just with low...

    Slow as Mud

With iMac12,2 definition the lag seems to be resolved, thank you for that. However, Geekbench score has dropped to 2925. I'm not sure whether or not to trust it because everything seems to be running faster. Repaired permissions after changing the definition.

    Slow as Mud

I originally thought I had a graphics issue because of massive lag with HD video, but I have pretty much excluded the GC as the culprit because of my awful Geekbench score (~3200 in 10.6.8, ~3100 in 10.7.2). Specs: MacPro3,1 Intel Core i5-2500 8GB RAM MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) Mobo MSI R6870 Hawk GC...

    MSI R5770 Lag w/HD Video

I replaced the R5770 card with an MSI R6870 Hawk. Post-MultiBeast, the info is correctly displayed in System Information and in System Preferences the correct resolution options are listed. Lag is reduced, but still mildly present in 720p and heavily so in 1080p on HTML5 and Flash players on...

    MSI R5770 Lag w/HD Video

Starting from square one, I'm going to edit this post as I go. Installed 10.7.2 after erasing and formatting the boot disk. Before installing MultiBeast after the first boot, the monitor information is displayed correctly with no ghost and all of the correct resolutions are displayed in System...

    MSI R5770 Lag w/HD Video

Nice work. I made said changes and...it still lags. The monitor information now shows up correctly in Profiler, but there is no change in lag behavior in QT, VLC, or Youtube, regardless of whether Perian is installed. FML. I guess I'll keep changing things until something works. Glad it worked...

    MSI R5770 Lag w/HD Video

I too installed via UniBeast (which is a godsend) and EasyBeast with additional network and audio drivers. The HD lag was present without those drivers installed. I also just tried booting with Eulemur framebuffer which didn't do anything. I hope somebody has new ideas because I'm running out.

    MSI R5770 Lag w/HD Video

Not sure. System boots properly with or without that flag, but the HD lag issue is present regardless. I'm really wondering why it shows up as a VGA display, that seems suspicious. Edit: Might as well add that it does the same thing with VGA port as with HDMI. With DVI, the correct monitor is...

    MSI R5770 Lag w/HD Video

I'm finally resorting to posting--everything is running fine except for graphics--monitor works great, everything seems groovy except any HD video lags badly. I've tested QT, iTunes, DVD player, YouTube, Vimeo, and VLC--all lag. The lag is so bad with 1080p video that it's completely...
