Hey guys, I've been trying to upgrade my rig to High Sierra from 10.12.6, but every time I I run the installer and it restarts and I select the macOS install partition in clover it runs, gets halfway and restarts and essentially keeps doing that. I can boot back into my Sierra partition...
Hey there,
So something really strange has been happening recently. my Hackintosh randomly shuts down during boot for some reason and I can't figure out why.
It all started when I tried installing an m.2 pcie card and I lost clover on my hack. no problem I booted via USB stick and it worked...
AHH I have to have it plugged into integrated gfx??? Wow that's super weird I thought the patch would allow me to boot without unplugging and re-plugging :( i'll try it out! thanks
Hey i know this is unrelated, but how did you get your sapphire nitro working?I have the same card and I edited the x4100.kext and my config but I get a black screen. Do you mind sharing your x4100.kext and config.plist so i can see where i went wrong?
So I made the required changes to my config.plist and x4100.kext and now my screen goes black before it goes to the login screen.
My card is going black when I get to login screen any ideas?
Sounds good i'm headed now to get the 4 gb sapphire. Do I still use the oatch found in the first page of this thread to get it working?? I have an nvidia in right now should i boot using that, install the patches, then remove it??
Hey, I'm looking between the Sapphire Nitro + rx 470 and the Sapphire Nitro + rx 480. My question is what is less of a headache to run and runs better then 470 or the 480? I'm more concerned about the stability and not having to deal with kernel panics after updates.
Does it score higher than the 470 ?? The reason I'm asking is the 480 is on sale and only $20 more than a 470but I primarily use OS X so I want the faster, more stable of the two. With the new update would you say the 480 is more stable and faster than the 470 or are there still problems ??
Shoot one step forward but another backwards, I wonder why this is happening on HD 530, it's oficially supported on the new iMac so it should work its not like its a gpu that isnt already on a mac. Was hoping this was aonly a beta glitch but seeing as how this is basically the GM looks like it...
Hey so I tried your advice, however my iGPU in my BIOS was already set to 64MB? I tried setting it to 512 MB still nothing? I get full acceleration but the artifacts are still there. Any ideas?
To clarify I still get artifacts on the top left of the screen but to get acceleration i used the same el capitan patch i used for intel HD 530 and I get acceleration but still artifacts on the top left screen
