    Black screen after Catalina install

And a recent version of Clover is needed as well. I had to update Clover to get 10.15.2 running (and also re-added WEG with that).

I went for the MacBook original module (with adapter), works like charm now I got the 3rd antenna fixed. Needed to mod the heatsink to fit it, though.

It works with the external GPU for me when I use HDMI. With DP, the boot screen is stretched.

Logged out of iCloud, generated new serial, restarted, logged back to iCloud, restarted again - and Sidecar works!

Thanks for the response! I’m running iMac 19,1 with IGPU in headless mode (to get DRM working) and AirPlay in general works fine but not with my iPad Pro. Maybe it is the iPad...

Try removing WhateverGreen altogether, that helped for me. DP works for me only on the port next to HDMI (Vega 56).

Finally re-upgraded to Catalina, and most of things seem to work fine. Has anyone been able to make Sidecar work? If so, any good ideas? Airplay, Airdrop, most of things work fine...but Sidecar (with iPadPro) times out with or without cable.

I agree, the temperatures are significantly lower (5C or so) under heavy load with the modified block than without it. Dremel, 20 minutes, and lots of aluminium dust.

It is called IPEX4. What I did was I added an antenna and routed the cable out of my case. Not exactly this one but similar. All works fine. https://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/product/frsky-ipex4-replacement-receiver-whisker-antenna-100mm-new-style-pack-of-4/ I think I read someone has used...

Yes, with adaptor. You need to remove or modify the cooling block, and add antennas. I do have the version with 3 antennas (CSAX) running this way.

So does sleep work if you connect the BCM without the extension cable? (Yes, you need to remove the cooling block.)

It’s Alpenföhn Black Ridge - and it does not fit with the heatsink on this mobo. No issues, but I need to improve the airflow in general. Running Kolink Rocket and replaced the original 80mm case fan with slim Noctua 92mm and added another Noctua for intake.

No 3rd party stuff needed for WiFi&BT to function, right. Read some FW versions do not work right away but mine did. I think the module itself is about the same size as they need to fit in MacBook Pro, it is my adapter that increases the height dramatically.

I have this setup, it works like a charm. I just dropped the Broadcom kexts included in the EFI folder provided by ModMike. I use the original antennas but need to replace the lower cable - it is just too short. I also have the 3 antenna version so I added a wire antenna for BT - otherwise the...

Did not read that post, but my understanding is the M.2 (key E) socket generally supports M.2 cards (like DW1560) while CNVi modules (like Intel 9560) use the same socket but require additional support features on the motherboard.
