I have tried to use multibeast and install a boot loader. I have also tried to download the standalone bootloader. I have even tried to use the clover bootloader with no luck. I have already built a few hackintoshes and I have never had the machine not recognize the loader. Any ideas??
I have the same setup. Intel dg41rq board and a core 2 quad. I can install Lion or Mountain Lion and I can get everything to work great but my system will not boot unless I have my install usb plugged in and use that to boot to start the system. Once in the os the mac runs great. My system...
I have the same mobo and my installation works well. The only issue that I am having is iCloud and iMessage. My install will boot and has audio. I have tried to delete all of my ethernet connections and restart labeling the main on en0 and that did not work for me. I can use the internet and...
I didn't pay attention and I ran the update through the app store. I had no idea the was an update until I opened tonymac and saw it. I checked and sure enough 10.8.5. Installed audio with multibeast and all works great!!
I have a fully running hackintosh ML 10.8.2. I am using an intel core i5 with a Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 6850. I have two monitors running. One on the HDMI port and the other on a DVI w a DVI to HDMI adapter. They both work flawlessly but I cannot get the third to work. I purchased an...
I used both, the link here first and then the update through my mac its self. Both times I got the apple boot screen and and it would spin until I got a KP. What would anyone suggest I do to try and get the update to work??
If you really want to stay running snow leopard you will have to use "update helper" from the downloads section. If I were you I'd upgrade though. It is also important to remember that an and chip is not technically supported and has almost zero support on this website that I have seen. You will...
Mobo.....GA-Z68XP-UD3
I downloaded the Mountain Lion update from apple as suggested and all is working great. All sound, graphics, and network are intact and running as they should. I did not have to use multibeast at all.
Can anyone tell me if this card will work with the hackintosh?? GIGABYTE GV-N520SL-1GI GeForce GT 520 (Fermi) 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16. I have one of these and would like a cheap build for networking purposes. Thanks everyone.
I am looking to put together a cheap mac for my girlfriend. I do not want her to use mine. All she does is facebook and youtube. I am going to use a Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2. I am looking for suggestions on a cheap video card. I am taking the core i3 out of my mac to add a core i5 1155 socket...
I had to use both before i could see mine. -x GraphicsEnable=NO all at the same time and it worked for me. I pulled my HD 6850 and used onboadr graphics but no luck. When i reinstalled my vid card and used "-x GraphicsEnable=NO " is went to safe mode and worked just fine.
GPU??
What series of graphics card are you using? If it is a 6xxx series you have to delete the ati6000 kext out of the extensions folder. Then you have to boot with GraphicsEnabler=No. Once I got mine to install I had trouble rebooting but eventually I used -x GrphicsEnabler=No it showed me...
Its common
This is very common when it comes to unibeast. My flash drive actually made it to 8 hours. It all depends on the speed of the drive, but it will definitely take a minimum of ten.
After many attempts to get Mountain Lion working I was about to give up. I had tried all the boot commands, I unplugged my graphics card, and finally I removed it all together and still nothing. I reinstalled my GPU and ran my unibeast flash drive once again and install successful, so I...

I will try changing my default video. I have been trying everything I could find to get Mountain Lion installed. I tried 3 different drives and also partitioned my SSD with lion 10.7.4 installed. Every time the install would get to 6...
