I was able to get my screen back to normal by re-enabling the GFX0->IGPU setting. I also discovered that it appears that port 0306 is probably where the HDMI port lives. I get a kernel panic when plugging in with that port active. That is the only port that appears to give any sort of reaction.
I fixed the framebuffer-conx-enable and removed the -alldata, -flags and -pipe entries.
I hadn't used Hackintool to generate those, but will give it a try. It looks like the generated patch needs to be pasted into the config.plist as text (I'm using BBEdit) then opening in Xcode?
I still get...
Hoping somebody can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have tried patching my framebuffers and tested various patches. The latest debug attached info is for patches 0306 & 0204 to 0105. I really have no idea if I did it properly. I tried doing patch 0204 to 0306 but my laptop reboots...
I updated the smbios setting. Not much changed though the keyboard seems to work better. But for a change like that is it better to start from scratch and recreate the usb boot drive from scratch using Clover and re-install OS?
I'm new to hackintosh and am trying to learn as much as possible. When trying to determine why functionality is missing what are people looking for in the results of gen_debug to match up info in the forums for fixing?
I fixed the following after my initial install from reading many posts...

BuildMachineOSBuild 17E202 vs 17D47
DTPlatformBuild 9E145 vs 9C40b
DTSDKBuild 17E189 vs 17C76...
I want to get the on-board adapter working if possible.
I don’t have audio or trackpad working. I thought more important to get Ethernet up and running.
Been trying to get any ethernet (RealTek) working on my Dell Inspiron 5584 i7-8565 with no luck. I have tried the RealtekRTL8111 and the IntelMausiEthernet kexts. When I go to system information I get a "this computer does not appear to have any PCI Ethernet cards installed". In system prefs...
@pastrychef - you are a lifesaver! I was having the same problem as the OP. Your EFI folder got me to the choose Language installer screen. Now I just seem to have a non-functional trackpad and possibly keyboard.
