@CaseySJ @jiffyslot Happy to report getting a 1000W titaniam PSU has fixed all of the issues I was having.
Thank you both for responding and all the work you do!
Jim
It turns out my PSU is a 750W and thank you so much for the help with this! Fun fact is that running win10 gaming never run into any issues or shut downs for that matter :). I'll give these settings a try now and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again!,
Jim
So I had a look at my PSU and its a 750w thermaltek.
I'm going to return the my Sapphire RX 580 and have purchased a MSI Vega 56 to see if this changes my issues of shutting down while testing metal/OpenGL using geekbench 5.1.1
@CaseySJ Do you think using a MSI Vega 56 will help running...
Its a Apollo Twin X Quad.
Here is my bigger concern is that the system crash's when doing a metal test and while running logic pro. I will even crash when running an OpenGL test as well. Sometimes it makes it all the way through a test but rarely.
The Apollow twin x has its own power adapter. I'm wondering if it could be my PSU possibly. I think its only a 500w thermal tech and its a about 4 or so years old. Also is there any flags you recommend for using running headless? Trying that option now.
Hi @CaseySJ,
I have build Z390 Gigabyte Designare, i9-9900k, Sapphire RX 580 all works fairly well. How ever I also have an Apollo Twin x quad core and when I run my system as an iMac19,1 and do a metal test it restarts. If I use iMacPro1,1 I'm able to complete a test, how ever I have a lot...
