There are more and more bugs each new release. What's going on, c'mon, Intel's developers, be more accurate! =)
Add please a comment about Samsung r520_r522_r620 to that patch.
THNX!
Thnx! And so sorry for misunderstanding some things.
The bug contains maybe in the iasl itself. It is disassembling the original code incorrect. About ElseIf.
Hmmm, I found the original code from Samsung R540 and opened it with Maciasl, and so I see the same "buggy code".
Just tried to...
I asked the laptop's owner to update his machine to the latest bios and to get F4 origin.
It is not mine machine. Only helped him with incorrect CurrentRate read from ACPI.
RehabMan, Hi!
I have some bug report for battery patch.
In the repo the patch https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/battery/battery_Samsung-r528.txt needs one correction. Original Code contains logical bug with fCurrentRate in _BST. Maybe Only for R522.
Original...
Ooops! Never seen this one. Searched in the repo, but no one was found and I wrote my own. Badly searched.
Now I have to see all the known issues on Git. THNX! Seen.
Could you add my patch to your repo?
UPD: ooops! I'm an idiot! See now in the ASUS patches this issue #23.
RehabMan, hi!
My first try to write the maciasl's patch.
I have entered in conversation with one user, who has Laptop DNS B14Y (Pegatron platform) with AC Adaptor error. It's DSDT has SystemMemry registers for battery, but strange behavior when AC adaptor is connected, when the battery is...
Only if anyone of insiders could provide a source code for us.
So can you add Dell Vostro 3750 to Dell XPS 13 patch? And merge it with Dell-XPS-L502x.txt
I have attached the native DSDT especially for that. Few posts upwards. http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/116102-guide-how-patch-dsdt-working-battery-status-250.html#post1169613
That modification after the patch have been applied:
Name (PAK0, Package...
I have a little bit silly question. Is there a way to find a solution to binpatch the kext ACPIPlatform to obtain a multibyte read/write from/to EmbeddedControl? Then there should be no need to patch multibyte registers in DSDT and only using your ACPIBattery kext will be a major cause to have...
Sorry, no my modification. I still can't write MaciASL's patches. My way is to use Maciasl as IDE and to patch the code by hands. But I think you can add.
Also there are matching each other patches in the repo...
Hi, RehabMan!
Dell XPS 13 patch also matches Dell Vostro 3750 lappy. https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/battery/battery_Dell-XPS-13.txt
Only one thing: in the code there are some math issues and no Critical capacity positive number. Maybe fix it in the repo, plz...
Hi! You need to see the native battery's design capacity. If it is real 4000 mAh, then it is wrong information that read from ACPI, the third bit in the _BIF package. Maybe you have to correct the math mistake. Or maybe you have to recalibrate your battery by charging it to 100% then disconnect...
RehabMan, I can approve that this patch https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/battery/battery_Samsung-r528.txt fits for Samsung R540. Add to comments, please! And maybe for R530 and R730 because Clover found it's motherboard as R530_R730_R540
For your kext(-s), that needs some customization though ACPI. For example, a specific prefPane for IntelBacklight.kext with handy entries or universal for most your kexts that need some customization though ACPI. That will be useful for most not advanced users, who so far from ACPI like the...
Hi! Is it possible, if you should write a prefPane for configuration and customization of kexts?
I've tested on Samsung R540 with HD1000 (1-st gen) Arrandale graphics [8086:0046]. It is perfect! I really appreciate your hard work!
You are always referring users to your #1 post to read the MAN. But it is incomplete!
Sorry, but it is real incomplete! I read almost full thread, but can't remember anything about WECB usage, just whines for help :)
For example, when I needed WECB for first usage, I had completely at a...
