finally took the plunge to 10.6.8. scared off from all the issues and complaints. but with my heavily tonymac inspired build, ran software update and had zero issues other than the well documented and easily fixed audio rollback. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
now, on to 10.7!!!!
well, i'll be!
yes, it really can make a difference.

i was looking around for an apple bluetooth keyboard and noticed the older version (white and clear plastic) has the full keys including the number pad and the official delete key. might give this a whirl.
wow. i'm scared still. think i'm going to let this one marinate for a couple of days and see what there is to see. i dont want my cinebench score to go down
wow. awesome. so, no drivers or weird software or anything? just plug it in and able to use all the normal apple utilities? this could be very good news as much as like my homemade apple airport card, i think this is much more useful
which card are you using? i'm using a 2006 era card and works in 64bit just fine.
you might have the atheros chipset version instead of the broadcom? i've heard of complaints with that card.
omg. finally. my mini pci-e adapter took forever to come from china. almost a month.

i KP'd my system trying to update to fakesmc.kext to 2.6.3 and originally was rebooting from the CD I had made, but I actually found just booting into safe mode using -x was easier and quicker to troubleshoot and text various kext type issues.

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1680x1050x32</string>
in /Extra
that will work. remove any other edits you've made in any other files.
booting in 64 bit.

i installed this program and it shows no cpu temp info at all. only shows my drive temps.
