Have you tried disabling screen rotation in the BIOS? This got me to GRUB, but I haven't tried it with OS X yet. I suspect that could be one of the causes.

Any luck with this? I just got my Pocket 2 a couple days ago. After a lot of fiddling, I finally got it to boot to the installer, but the internal display is not recognized by macOS (I think I need to try a DSDT patch of some sort). Also, it looks like an eMMC driver for macOS does not exist...
