I just went through this same exercise albeit in the US. There are no cheap alternatives that I'm aware of. I went with the DW1830. I'm satisfied that it was worth the money. Perhaps look for a used card or one installed already in a used inexpensive laptop.
I love the small form factor (SFF) as well. To add to PastryChef's comment, ensure there's a clear WiFi/BT success path before picking a motherboard. This is especially important for SFF builds since there are fewer ports and little or no space for a PCI-e slot WiFi/BT solution with a graphics...
Talk about great timing! I literally was shopping the base model XPS 15 (9570) just moments ago. I didn't see any option to add the Nvidia (optimus) GTX 1080 MaxQ on the i5 base model though.
