I followed the iboot+multibeast guide, then the xmove+multibeast guide exactly. Use graphics enabler=no in multibeast to get boot from hard drive working.
Since I'm going to stick to the 3000 HD for now, I'm trying to get that working smoothly. Haven't managed native resolution yet and it seems...
Try this:
Go into S/L/E and delete the HDA ktexts, reboot, then install the voodoo drivers via multibeast and reboot again.
This worked for me.
Follow the settings as detailed in tonymacx86's guide iBoot + Multibeast.
Make sure all your SATA ports are set from IDE to ACHI. Also, be sure you are plugging into the normal SATA ports, not the alternately colored Gigabyte specific ones.
Haven't tried playing movies.
I'm using the built-in 3000 HD graphics, but it isn't supported by Snow Leopard. I'm currently working on moving to Lion.
Success! All I needed to do was select 32-bit graphics enabler=no in Multibeast to get it booting from the HDD.
The driver works like a dream. Thank you for everything Lnx2Mac!
:D :D :D
Unfortunately no. I have not found a way to get around the blank gray screen after the apple loading screen. There must be some graphics setting I have to tweak, but I haven't discovered where to do that.
Sources tell me this is an error related to graphics.
I'm running my setup using the Built-In Intel 3000HD, which I'm aware is not supported by Snow Leopard, but is it possible to avoid this freeze when booting while using Built-In Graphics. If so, How?
I seem be having the same trouble with the new release. I'm at 10.6.8 and have not been able to enable ethernet on 8111e.
In System Preferences/Network, only Airport and Built-in Serial (1) appear.
Tried deleting Network Preferences plist and manually deleting the last 81xx ktext.
Still no...
I seem to hang on a blank gray screen after a few seconds of the gray apple loading screen. As such, I can only get into Snow Leopard (10.6.8) after running iBoot.
Anyone have any experience with this issue?
I installed the latest beta and have had no change
My network preferences show built-in serial port (1) and airport.
Built-in serial seems to function like dial-up.
In system profiler, Ethernet card does not appear under hardware.
I read about a possible fix, but have no network...
