Wait... But is it possible to get the 1080p version working without modifying the DVMT Pre-Alloc settings? I thought this was a requirement for MacOS to boot.
I'll update this in case someone else has the same problem. I tried all of the methods to get proper audio working, including Lilu + AppleAlc combo and injecting audio 7 within clover.
In the end what worked for me was installing the VoodooHDA kext and tuning the devices using their preference...
DUUUUUUUDE! You're a savior. It worked like a charm!
P.S: If anyone finds this, I'll also refer to this post: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/asus-rog-strix-h370-i-gaming-build.254524/
@pastrychef ok, I tried again with combinations of EFI and Kext. Apparently the winner combination is when I remove the kext, boot without the kext, re install the kext (and rebuild kext cache).
It would let me sleep the mac on that session regardless of what devices are connected to it. BTW...
So, working setup (for sleeping, restart is not working yet)
No USBInjectAll.kext with your original files.
It won't recognize the external Bluetooth Adaptor though. I know that turning it off from the BIOS does the trick, but it'd be better to map the ports correctly and get rid of that problem.
Good question.Let me try sleeping without any other devices other than keyboard and mouse...
Ok, it worked while I was messing with the injectAll kext. And booting directly from the EFI files you posted (unified High Sierra)
It failed when tried to apply the kext with the custom config.
Yup...
On that note. Both keyboard and mouse are wired through USB, they won't wake the machine.
What's weird is that my chassis fan and the processor cooler fan are still on after I try to sleep/restart/shutdown
Update 2:
@pastrychef @P1LGRIM
Went back to High Sierra after seeing that Nvidia Web Drivers won't be updated for a while. I managed to get to a point where I created my own SSDT and that helped me block the native bluetooth and use an ASUS BT400 adaptor to get bluetooth working.
So right now...
Update: Got my machine working using Mojave with the latest config files from PastryChef. Had to install the ethernet drivers though.
As far as the installation process goes, I restarted the installation choosing "Install macOs from macOs" two times in a row and then the OS partition appeared...
@hdkjhek
I used PastryChef's latest guide but I'm still suck with "disk is not convertible to APFS: You may not install to this volume because it can not be converted to Apple File System (APFS)."
So no luck yet
I only have one 16GB stick of RAM.
When searching on OSStatus the error seems to be Network Related as I the error code says
"Request rejected by the server or request failed.". I had the ethernet port plugged in, so IDK if Apple performs some kind of network validation on the installation...
@pastrychef
This is my first build, so I didn't know the H370 had a different USB chip. Still I managed to get the USB peripherals working with your Nvidia 3.4 EFI Folder.
The first time the installer got stuck, with the console logging an error saying that it couldn't convert my HFS+...
