To the user who was working on the unlocked bios: I just wanna put it out there that I've successfully unlocked hidden menus (thermal, voltage, etc.) on the bios before, just couldn't flash it. So if you need any advice for that part of the process let me know.

Oh wow, it seems the engineers might have accomplished their job and genuinely locked down the system. The best avenue might be to try and get someone at dell to share a developer's BIOS.
Given that there is a rom chip, I'm unsure as to why recovery attempts didn't work. In any case, unlocking the bios is definitely an important problem.
