It seems that @the-darkvoid has added the new layout id in the patch, try moving the patched AppleHDA_ALC256.kext in L/E without editing the .plist. Update kext cache and reboot twice.
I'm using an external monitor but at 1080 without problems, just need to wait 20/30 seconds if I hotplug the usb-c adapter.
No way the get the ethernet working with usb-c hotplug, need reboot.
Yes audio is working after sleep and I still have 4 AppleHDA patch, probably different audio card.
Take a look here and try different layout id, most used are 3,13,57.
I solved the audio issue, now it works using AppleHDA , @the-darkvoid ALC256 patch and editing the info plist, before I had bootloop after patching, this is what I did:
- Restore AppleHDA.kext from High sierra install disk in S/L/E
- Remove any AppleALC, CloverHDA, VoodooHDA,CodecCommander in...

If i load the AppleHDA.kext and AppleALC.kext I got a bootloop, without them, no audio device is detected.

Yes it works after 4k format, anyway I'm on 45% of battery and cononutBattery show me only 1 hour and 26 minutes left.
