[Guide] Install High Sierra or Mojave on the Dell Optiplex 7010 / 9010 Desktop PC - Revision II

IDK what could be bad about it while not causing any other problems on Mac or any unusual problems at all with Windows. I bought another computer from the same (reputable) eBay seller and it's got no issues. And like you said, you had the same problem and no longer using HD400 graphics is the...

[Guide] Install High Sierra or Mojave on the Dell Optiplex 7010 / 9010 Desktop PC - Revision II

Thanks for the tip. I have the USFF so I can't fit a GT 710 in it and this whole project is just becoming more trouble than it's worth. I do appreciate the help though.

[Guide] Install High Sierra or Mojave on the Dell Optiplex 7010 / 9010 Desktop PC - Revision II

I'll try that now. What interests me is that the problems went away for a day or two when I first re-did the install from scratch last week. I had both modules in at that point too.

ok. On that note, I have 2 modules. a 4gb and 1gb. I was just recently told the 1gb won't do anything even though it's recognized by the computer. Is that true?

[Guide] Install High Sierra or Mojave on the Dell Optiplex 7010 / 9010 Desktop PC - Revision II

I do get freeze ups but mostly they've been few and short lived. I'm actually just experienced one that took some time to go away (a few minutes). All the kexts and SSDTs I'm using are from this guide and I rebuilt permissions with kext utility.

I see "1536mb" next to HD Graphics 4000 in the About this Mac menu but when I slide over from Desktop 1 to Desktop 2 or vice versa, the one I'm switching to is upside down for a brief moment. When I use safari and open more than one tab, the tab headers turn black or get all funky with lines...

OK got the most up to date Unibeast and remade the installer and have success far. I was on something like 9.0X rather than 9.2X. Question about this: Is "rm /var/..." supposed to be AFTER "mkdir /var/..."? I don't code but it looks like the directory needs to be made before it can be rm'd...

I don't have the AppleALC kext added because that's at a later step. So I can't remove it. It does get past it but it goes to the black screen with the Apple logo and a progress bar underneath that never moves even though it's (obviously) set to verbose logging.

Crucial suggests 1.35v RAM. Are you saying that it doesn't work with Mac OS? https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Dell/optiplex-7010-%28ultra-small-form-factor%29#MEMORYFilters

[Guide] Install High Sierra or Mojave on the Dell Optiplex 7010 / 9010 Desktop PC - Revision II

I made a new install drive and reinstalled the Mojave OS (without erasing everything and starting from scratch) and graphics are working now. I think the problem was rooted in a faulty install to begin with. Either way, thank you for taking the time to put the guide together and offer help...

You said "Your Clover/kexts/other folder is needing work too. None of these should be in there. You do need Fakesmc kext there" but I can't find that in the guide. It says to put Fakesmc kext in /Library/Extensions. I've added it, removed the 3 other kexts and changed the config.plist to the...
