Thanks, guys ... I was able to (so d@rn easily) create a Windows PC; I added a FENVi for WiFi and an RX 560 Graphics card and drivers without issue. I do realize that "they" have a much broader market and HAVE TO make these installs work on all kinds of h/w... but, man, it was so easy ;<>) So...

Actually I have updated it (maybe it doesn't change within an existing thread?)... and I found a FRESH INSTALL FROM USB for windows.

I don't suppose that there is a"guide" of sorts anywhere that can talk me through a basic Windows build .. I think I recall seeing some of this in the Dortania guidelines... I'll try there first.

Some progress... I was able to get the USB to work and not get stuck. I was also able to find the correct set of DEVICE PROPERTIES for my mobo ... The problem now is that after many pages of messages the screen goes BLACK and everything stops. I am wondering if this is when the OpenCore is...

The only way can see clear to SOME level of installation is to remove all additional h/w (WiFi, Graphics card) and use my 2nd SATA drive as the source. I am using the SATA since I cannot get passed the USB installer getting stuck waiting for ROOT DEVICE. Having read a lot of the Dortania...

The BIOS on my mobo ASUS Prime H570M-PLUS has no BLUETOOTH nor WiFi. I do have a FENVI T919 that I plan to use for WiFi... should I put that in now?

Hi, I was getting 'stuck' at the STILL WAITING FOR ROOT DEVICE with all my USB attempts so I created a SATA drive of the EFI and Ventura Install, and am booting from that. This setup gets A LOT farther but now is "looping" with a group of 20 or so messages --> launchd...

Thanks for the info ... I had already purchased the core i5-10600K.. so that's a given. Regarding the DISABLE THE IGPU... I am not adding a Graphics Card of any sort and will use the on-baord video functions of the motherboard. So your suggestion regarding disabling the IGPU in the bios still...
