You only need the older BIOS to set the DVMT pre-alocate for the UHD screen. The 1080p monitors don't need to do this step which means you don't need to use the old BIOS. Correct?
I have downgraded to the old 1.14 BIOS but now my Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M will not work in windows. Error: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
I tried reinstalling the drivers and uninstalling them 3 times, still won't work.
Any ideas?
Bump, I installed the V1.14 BIOS and most is well. But, my Nvidia GTX 960M is not working in Windows (Have yet to attempt the Mac OS install). Windows gives me an error saying: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) I ran the Geforce updater to reinstall the...
Lookup a tutorial for replacing the screen if it is flickering off (like turning on and off). Just watch where they plug the screen connector in and see if yours is loose.
Awesome! Time to try the downgrade.
The flickering monitor, then again I am not sure, but if all software issues are sorted away and the external monitor doesn't flicker, the screen is probably slightly loose from the motherboard (the connector).
Is it turning black or is there lines going...
Fabio, i would assume that is in BIOS, there is a setting you can ENABLE that allows u to install a previous version of the bios.
Also, Fabio, what BIOS version are you on? I am on 2.01 and I am not sure if I want to downgrade, tell me how the process goes if you get it installed!
Hi all,
I am following this guide for my Lenovo Y50-70 Touch (2015) and I am stuck at this step:
I have downloaded the .zip files but there is no "release" folder in for either of them. So I can't find the FakeSMC.kext or the VoodooPS2Controller.kext
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Opps. Done.
I can't find the FakeSMC.kext file in the .zip file from the https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Fake-PCI-ID link or the VoodooPS2Controller.kext in the voodoo folder.
Are the .kext's files, or do I need to do something with the folder?
