Hi was wondering if anyone can help. I had a working system and upon boot with clover I had macOS drive and a recovery drive. I booted into the recovery and restore via time machine.
All went well but now I have lost the recovery partition. Is there anyway to get this back. Why did it...
Can anyone recommend a low profile graphics card with native high sierra support. Tried to find a gt710 but eBay seller cancelled and there ain’t any more great deals
Thanks for getting back to me. I just this minute fixed it. It’s on the Hp 6200. Running a i3 2120 I believe. I had to enable applecpumenabler I believe it is called. Without enabling that it would panic and display the above. After that boots in fine. Hopefully will help anyone in the future.
Iv managed to follow the guide and can boot fine into Mac OS high Sierra from the usb. But when attempting to boot without I get stuck with a kernel panic saying “stuck at attempting system restart... MACH Reboot”
Any ideas what’s causing this. Thanks.
Hi great guide. Managed to get working but after updating to 2018 security patch it kp at boot. If I boot from usb into the hard disk it works but can’t get it to boot normally again. Any idea? Thanks
Thanks for getting back to me so Sierra and my hardware probably a no go without days lost. Can you recommend a version of OS X that works relatively easy. It seems lots of people buy them so not sure why I’m hitting the issues. Did your Sierra go without a hitch? Wonder why mine won’t
I have a Hp Elite 8000 SFF with a core 2 quad and 8gb ram. It has a Quadro nvs 290 and a quadro Nvs 300. I followed a really good guide and manage to boot to the installer. The issue is when I select the language instead of the install screen I get Mac OS already installed. Ill add a screen...
Thanks for the reply what I meant was the drives are fine. Iv formatted them using disk utility and they are detected. Even after formatting the drives the installer still says that it’s installed and won’t go any further makes no difference. Could it be a issue with the installer or the smbios...
Drives are totally blank. Tried wiping in disk utility. I do not get the option to select the drive. It boots to the language select screen then immediately to this. I can access disk utility and the drives show up. No further options are available other than the ones available in the menu bar.
Thanks for taking the time. I boot to the installer select the language then get the screen below.
For some strange reason the thumbnail displays upside down but shows correctly if clicked.
Thanks for all the help its greatly appreciated. I have now finally got the installer working however when I use it it boots to the installer from the usb but says Sierra is already installed and won't let me go any further. Any ideas on this one head against a wall time
Thanks I’m fine with making the installer but it’s says to add smbios to the usb installer. Where do I get the copy of this or how do I create it. That’s where I’m getting a bit stuck. Thanks for keep getting back to me.
Thanks my question is more really how do I create one from scratch. I have nothing currently installed on my Hp but to create a installer I need smbios.plist. How do I create one to add to the usb if that makes sense. I do have access to another proper MacBook
Thanks for your help
