Yes it is a chip made by VIA, so i believe the problem lies with my motherboard and it not working to full potential, my GPU comes up in the about this mac section although through some testing i do not believe it is working as well, so that is why i would like your help to find my mobos...

intel h55 chipset not sure what you mean by audio codec, but thats no big deal for me, i just need the mobos chipset

Alright well ill try that but i have discovered that the front line out jack is controllable from within the OS's slider bars, so my guessing is that i need the chipset for the mobo to get the back ones to work. If anyone can help with this i will be very grateful: P7h55-M LE Asus mobo core i5 650
