I guess you could say I haven't updated any drivers. I did all the stuff on the windows side when I did the build in late May/early June. Since I had TB working, I thought everything was good. It wasn't until some time had passed that stability became the issue. I only ever have 1 drive plugged...
Not to rain on everyone's parade. I followed all the steps and got TB working. My issue is that is not 100% rock solid. I have said before, it works 8 times out of 10. But those 2 times suck, and why? If it works, it should work all the time. I didn't really get the sense that it wasn't 100%...
After about a month of use, TB is still inconsistent. The external TB drive will mount @ 8 times out of 10. When it won't mount, there is not much I can do to get it to work except reset the cables and keep restarting. Sometimes 2-3 times will work, other times I just have to wait it out and try...
I am on F21 as well. I can't remember all the things I have changed. It's mostly based on

I have attached a zipped version of my settings. Hope that helps
I picked up the startech TB3 to TB2 adapter yesterday and that seems to have solved my problem. Had the TB2 drive mount every time I restarted. Hopefully that will hold up over time. Too short of sample to say 100% solved yet.... I will check my BIOS settings when I am at home and let you know.
I'm having an issue where my TB2 drive mounts about 1 out of 5 times. I can't tell if it's the adapter or not. I have a UBS-C 3.1 drive that mounts every time. That leads me to think that it might be the adapter?????
I did. And TB is working as well. I wish I could post a step by step of how it went, but I tried so many different things I'm not sure at this point what it was that made it all work. I think that what got TB working was some BIOS settings. When I updated the MB to F21 the options were different...
I have just started my build following this thread. I got the initial boot going. I did the windows thing to get thunderbolt going and now I can't boot back into macOS. Did you need to tweek the bios settings now that they are different in F20?
Turns out I must have done something wrong, because I did it all again and it worked the second time. Wish I knew what I did. But at least it's working now.
Forgive my cluelessness. It's my first build and totally new to this whole thing. I have tried a bunch of stuff and I am still stuck with the "NVIDIA Chip Model 7MB.
I have been following this thread, as it is close to my hardware build...
