I bought a Logitech C270. I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port and it just worked. Video works great with Skype. Microphone works in all programs. This is great! Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks jimmakos01. I looked at that one, but it says it is not supported on macOS so I keep looking. At £20, it is cheap as chips.
